Bhutan
is what people imagine Tibet to be, when the reality
is that the landscape of Tibet is more like New Mexico
and that of Bhutan is more like Colorado. Bhutan is
forested mountains, glorious valleys, and waterfalls;
Tibet is vast open plains with mountains in the distance.
The best of Bhutan represents the last unspoiled remnants
of the quickly disappearing Himalayan culture and environment.
The culture of Himalayan Buddhism, not only as a religion
but as a unified way of life, inspires calm, openness,
warmth, and happiness on the part of its people, making
it a delight to be among them.
Although our primary focus is offering photography tours and workshops, we
know that many are interested in Bhutan for other
reasons and we will be happy to help with arrangements
for private or customized non-photographic tours to
this beautiful and intriguing country. Anytime in
Bhutan will be special, but we feel that a tour organized
around one of the village festivals will be the most
gratifying.
